Founded in 1918, the Johns Hopkins Biostatistics Department is the oldest department of its kind in the world and has long been considered one of the best. With a rich history of outstanding contributions in both research and education, we are dedicated to: advancing statistical and data science, making discoveries to improve health by partnering with our colleagues in other science domains, and providing an innovative and outstanding biostatistics education for those seeking to be conversant with concepts as well as for users and experts in the application and development of new methodology. We do these with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and a strong spirit of collegiality and community.

Thank you for uploading this. Enjoyed the ethos, pathos, and logos these speakers brought to the podium.
I've for only one question? Why 5%???
It is convention we have agreed to use. There is no reason we can decide to change it at anytime
Sir Ronald Fisher described it as a "convenient convention" and as arbitrary. It does not have to be 5%. Whatever value it takes on, it does not change the effect size or importance of a study.

Totally arbitrary
it is interesting topic, would you attach it via my email tijema39@gmail.com
hello currently im a medical student, is it possible for me to take master in biostatistics later?
I'm majoring in biochemistry right now and I want to do that as well. I think it's possible but we might need to take some additional stats and math courses besides major classes tho.
I like this as an SQL Programmer I have wondered the data that systems collect is there any other use it can have, yes now i know it can be used for future research if only if it can be transformed , i like the value concept of statistics
Where in the presentation is this part? Cant find it :/
it was an interesting, conference about P value,

Great
Very nice video. I was hoping for a reminiscence on Richard Royall's woodpile, but this is really well done.
This does such a wonderful job of capturing a very special place. Congrats on 100 years!
